Cairns Regional Gallery has an excellent permanent collection of local artists work as well as travelling guest exhibitions. Exhibitions include Indigenous art, installations, sculpture, photography and both traditional and abstract fine art paintings.
Children’s programs run each school holidays and follow various themes exposing children to a range of new styles and techniques.
The Gallery Shop offers a wide range of high quality Australian ceramics, glassware, jewelery, prints, cards, books and magazines on sale. The Cairns Regional Gallery is open to the public from 10:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Saturday, and from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday. Located right in the city at the corner of Abbott and Shields Streets.
